How We Work
At Craftwater, we apply science, strategy, and engineering to restore balance to our watersheds and uplift our communities. By thoughtfully uniting these three elements, we create solutions that aren’t just visionary, they’re also practical and enduring.
Science
Much of our work is guided by government regulations and policies aimed at driving environmental improvements. While well-intended, these rules are not always firmly rooted in scientific principles and engineering realities. We are committed to collaborating with regulators to set realistic metrics that will lead to meaningful progress and watershed improvements.
Strategy
Our approach starts with a deep understanding of the relevant guiding rules and policies. From there, we focus on developing an implementation strategy to meet our clients’ goals in the most insightful, intuitive, and effective way possible. Whether it's addressing water issues or planning infrastructure, we use digital models to map out the landscape and wisely allocate resources. We then develop strategic plans that are specific enough to guide engineering decisions but flexible enough to adapt over time.
Engineering
While the first two areas of work focus on planning and analysis, this is where we get things done. We turn plans into reality by designing and building infrastructure that meets the needs of the environment and community. It's all about making sure every part works together—policy, planning, and execution—so the final outcome is both effective and aligned with the goals. With clear communication and a thoughtful approach, we deliver multi-benefit infrastructure that’s built to last.
